How Raven's Lair all got started!! funny short story really!!

It all started with Luca and Stephen wanting to start a Bon Jovi Tribute band, yes you heard it right, as much as i like the guy, its a long way from the type of music we play now. Luca (who is formerly from Italy) had a band there called Private Kill which sounded a bit like Linkin Park. I (Jax) saw their add on Rave (the now online magazine for musicians) to replace his singer who did not come over with him to Australia. I was actually pleasantly surprised and saw his talent in his music composition and though, "well wicked or not ill give it a shot". At the time I was writing music with a raper called JkFourSeven aka Jk47. I felt unappreciated and didn't feel i had creative control with his music, until I found Luca and Stephen. I tried to sing and scream like Luca's old bands singer but failed, so we just jammed it out and soon became the band called Raven after the american bird which is the americans version of our CROW but only better (if you research it you will see why). However something still didnt feel right about the name so Steve, the drummer, thought of a better name that wasn't used so much in music and just sounded like it matched with ease, "Ravens Lair"! and from there we played for about a year without a bass player. Well some players came and went, most only staying for about 2 jam sessions. Until one night Steve and I ventured out into Brisbane city for a 'jam night' and we came across Aaron (aka Azza), who was playing his own solo originals and cover tunes, instantly his talent in playing guitar was evident that he was good. He mentioned in passing after his set that he played the bass and in an *instant* Steve and I each looked at each other and we both said, "!!!! Right !!! you're coming with us for a chat at the back!!!!", and then that was that!!!! The rest will soon make history!
Stay tuned if you're interested in seeing the rest of the story unfold !?!?
